Snow days….

kayleigh was on vacation this past week, and I was off work Thursday and Friday. Along with a side trip Thursday to the Apple store for a dose of cool geekdom, we went Christmas shopping at the local Discovery Channel store. Lots of cool stuff for both kids and adults, though I wish the prices were a bit kinder. We amused ourselves with the dissecting kits, globes, telescopes, gadgets, magnet sets, and gross things like expanding eyeballs and inflatable tongues, and picked up a few gifts for some beasts we know. Then we went to lunch at Max & Erma’s. where the tortilla soup is always good but on a cold, snowy day, it’s nectar of the gods.

We spent Friday at home and watched the Brendan Fraser version of “The Mummy,” a good adventure flick with lots of humor thrown in.

And then we did other things which may cause kayleigh to blush and me to gloat ~cough
